Tether invests into Crystal Intelligence
Tether has announced a strategic investment in Crystal Intelligence, expanding their collaboration on blockchain forensics and real-time risk monitoring. The two previously worked together on the “Scam Alert” initiative, and this investment signals a closer alignment as Tether steps up its efforts to combat illicit stablecoin activity.
Earlier this year, Tether also integrated Chainalysis tools into its Hadron platform and backed their ecosystem to support compliant tokenization. While Chainalysis remains a major player in the compliance space, Tether’s growing relationship with Crystal suggests an interest in more tailored solutions. The move comes as Tether finds itself at the center of unwanted attention, with USDT reportedly being heavily used by sanctioned entities like Russia’s Garantex and Iran’s Nobitex exchange.

Crypto scam moves to paper version!
Just when you thought scams couldn’t get any weirder… Amber D. Scott receives a crypto scam by mail. Yes, actual paper, postage, and all. It’s a wild (and expensive) tactic, but given the lingering fallout from breaches like the Ledger hack where people’s home addresses were leaked, it sadly makes sense. The scam referenced a product she bought years ago and showed up at an address she doesn’t widely use. Physical mail scams might be the new frontier… because apparently inboxes and DMs just weren’t personal enough. A good reminder: if something feels off, don’t scan it, don’t click it, and definitely don’t mail back your seed phrase..

Pump.fun acquires wallet tracker Kolscan
Pump.fun has strategically acquired Kolscan: a niche Solana wallet explorer and on-chain data aggregator - to supercharge its PUMP token launch by bringing real-time trader tracking and social leaderboard features into the fold (Blockworks article).
This move highlights how even specialized tools like Kolscan have serious value, offering gamified insights and copy‑trading analytics that general platforms often overlook.
As Pump.fun races towards its ICO, it’s betting that these granular, community-focused data signals will set it apart. Proving that in crypto, niche explorers can punch well above their weight.
